"I've had such a great experience training at The Flow Institute in Bee Cave. From the moment you walk in, you feel how warm and welcoming the environment is. The coaches and members make you feel like part of the team right away, whether you're brand new or have years of experience. The facility is incredibly clean and well maintained. You can tell they truly care about their students — not just about technique, but about building a positive culture and strong community. Highly recommend to anyone looking for high-level training in a supportive atmosphere."

"I joined about a month ago and have trained at both the Bee Cave and Lake Travis locations — both are fantastic. The staff are very friendly and genuinely invested in your growth both on and off the mats. The community is filled with great people. If you're like me and wrestle with fear and insecurity about starting BJJ, this is the best place to start."

Why The Flow Institute

Why members choose TFI Bee Cave.

No contracts, ever

Month to month. We keep members because they want to be here — not because they signed something.

Every level on the mat

Total beginners learn fast in a structured room. Experienced grapplers find high-level coaching and strong partners.

Highly rated on Google

A welcoming, high-level jiu jitsu community in Bee Cave.

The Six Blades Method

Every class follows Xande Ribeiro's proven curriculum — taught to one standard on every mat so you always know what to work on.

World-class lineage

Led by Professor Jason Hackett, black belt under Christopher and Steve Hargett. A dedicated instructor who leads the Bee Cave academy with skill and heart.

Real community

You will know names by your second week. Most members say the room is the reason they stayed.

What jiu-jitsu gives you

More than a workout.

Adults rarely come to jiu jitsu for exercise alone. They come for something that asks all of them — and gives back more than they expected.

Real self-defense

Practical skill built on leverage and technique — not size or strength.

Confidence that carries

The calm of knowing you can handle yourself follows you off the mat.

Full-body fitness

Strength, conditioning and mobility — without it ever feeling like a chore.

Sharper mind

Chess-like problem solving that quiets everything else going on in your life.

For every body

All ages and sizes — sustainable for decades. Start exactly where you are.

Stress relief

An hour where you are fully present. People leave lighter every time.

Who you will train with

Questions, answered

Everything new members ask.

Do I need any experience? +
None at all. Most members walked in having never trained jiu-jitsu, and every class is structured so beginners can follow from day one.
I already train. Is this a good fit? +
Absolutely. We coach all levels with a structured curriculum and strong training partners across the belts. Experienced grapplers, professional athletes, and visitors are always welcome on the mat.
Can I still do this if I am older or out of shape? +
Yes. Jiu-jitsu runs on leverage and technique, not size or athleticism. We have members of every age and body type, and you will progress at your own pace.
What should I wear to my free evaluation class? +
Just comfortable athletic clothes. We will provide everything else you need for your first evaluation class.
How much does membership cost? +
We are not the cheapest academy in town — and that is intentional. We invest heavily in world-class coaching, a clean facility, and a culture focused on helping people become stronger on and off the mats. Your first evaluation class is free and we will walk you through all the options in person. No pressure.
Am I locked into a contract? +
No. We have a variety of memberships and you stay because you want to — never because you are locked in.
What happens at my free evaluation class? +
You will be welcomed, paired with an experienced member or coach, and walked through the basics. No pressure to sign up — just come see if it is for you.
